Description

Come be the right hand to our Store Manager and help lead a fast-paced, customer-focused convenience store where every day brings something new! The AMPM Assistant Store Manager will be responsible for the efficient, safe and profitable operation of the store, including following alcohol and tobacco policies followed, safety standards met, employee supervision and training, and the day-to-day operation of the store. Reporting to the AMPM Store Manager, the AMPM Assistant Store Manger will help provide leadership to the store, assist with talent, and effectively manage employees.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Ensure End of Day is completed
  2. Reconcile safe and daily paperwork
  3. Verify shift sheets
  4. Scan change order to office on appropriate day
  5. Check for unpaid transactions and follow proper procedure for reimbursement.
  6. Check two alcohol and tobacco sales a day to ensure they are being handled according to current company policy.
  7. Verify voids and returns are being handled correctly.
  8. Spot check cashiers to verify they are adhering to company policy and assigned duties, using process cards.
  9. Ensure the site walkthrough and activity board are completed daily.
  10. Ensure that all essential equipment, i.e. pics, pumps & car wash are in proper working order. Fill out environmental forms as needed.
  11. Ensure all employees and customers are following safety standards.
  12. Ensure site is secure and that company assets are protected.
  13. Ensure that the site is Core ready at all times. (Managers are required to achieve a minimum score of 95% each inspection)
  14. Ensure that all inventory is ordered using current build-ups every time an order is placed & that the order is communicated to the vendor by Management. Vendors should not be placing orders without Management’s consent.
  15. Inventories and pre-counts completed prior to audits.
  16. Cigarette, lottery, lotto reconciliations are completed daily and stock counts turned in weekly to the Corporate office.
  17. Control waste through training employees in proper build up. Process waste in S2K daily.
  18. Set a positive example for all employees to follow.
  19. Attend staff meetings for safety standards, team building and to address any issues that have arisen.
  20. Performs other duties and projects as needed.

Qualifications


 

  1. Must have the drive to grow, develop, and learn with the overall expectations toward Managing a Store in all capacities.
  2. Ability to supervise and motivate employees in a team environment.
  3. Excellent customer service skills.
  4. Excellent communication skills.
  5. Basic math computation with good cash handling skills.
  6. Basic computer skills.
  7. Ability to relate positively with employees, the public and vendors.
  8. Possess a valid driver’s license and an automobile in good working condition.
