Responsibilities
- Work at the intersection of strategy, policy, and programs to lead development of Con Edisons demand response strategy.
- Plan, develop, execute, track, and monitor the strategy for the demand response programs to support achievement of Con Edison and New York State policy goals.
- Partner with staff across the entire Customer Energy Solutions department and work with the leadership team to align the organization around the strategy and ensure successful implementation.
- Perform both technical analysis of the demand response program performance and policy analysis to inform program design.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on program performance and status to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.
- Work with other internal stakeholders to identify growth strategies for the demand response programs and opportunities to maximize the value of demand response for customers and the State.
- Manage all regulatory aspects of the Demand Response programs, including authoring petitions to the Public Service Commission and prepare program reporting.
- Develop relationships with the New York Public Service Commission, New York Independent System Operator, and other stakeholders to improve the effectiveness of DR programs and align program outcomes with benefits to our customers and policy goals.
- Maintain awareness of State, Federal, and Independent System Operator rules and programs that impact Con Edisons demand response programs. Oversee the promotion of the growth of the programs through marketing, training, and communications with customers.
- Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree 3 years of Relevant work experience
- Bachelor's Degree 5 years of Relevant work experience
- Master's Degree Business, economics, engineering, or related field 3 years of Relevant work experience 3 years work experience in energy, utilities, or other relevant field

- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to drive results by collaborating with stakeholders to build consensus. Required
- Strong communications, presentation, writing skills and analytical skills. Required
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize data into business insights and effectively communicate the information in presentation format and written deliverables, including long-form text and slide decks. Required
- Demonstrated organizational skills, and the ability to see the big picture and attention to detail. Required
- Ability to make decisions in real-time, under pressure. Required
- Flexibility to deal with ambiguity and comfortable working in a dynamic environment. Required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Required
- Ability to drive multiple projects to successful completion. Required
- Effective interpersonal skills. Required

- Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills. Required
- Work experience in demand response, energy efficiency, or other competitive, market driven utility programs. Preferred
- Knowledge of New York Stare clean energy policy. Preferred
- Experience presenting to senior executives and external stakeholders. Preferred Preferred
- Experience managing direct reports in a dynamic environment. Preferred
- Ability to drive multiple projects to successful completion
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.
