Job Description
Summary/Objective:
The Electrical Supervisor oversees field electrical operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across Tasman projects. This role plays a critical part in coordinating crews, enforcing safety standards, ensuring compliance with electrical codes, and maintaining strong communication between the field and project management teams.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise electrical crews during installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and general contractors to ensure timely and accurate completion of work.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan work sequences.
- Inspect installations for compliance with Tasman standards, NEC, and client requirements.
- Conduct and document daily safety meetings and jobsite audits.
- Train and mentor electricians and apprentices to develop field capability and uphold quality.
- Oversee material take-offs, inventory control, and tool management.
- Troubleshoot system issues and ensure timely resolution to minimize downtime.
- Monitor productivity, cost, and progress against project schedules.
- Ensure all electrical work is executed in accordance with Tasman’s core values of safety, integrity, and excellence.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- - Expert knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and construction safety practices.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage crews and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Competence with project scheduling, documentation, and reporting software (Procore or equivalent preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting, decision-making, and organizational abilities under field conditions.
- Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to adapt to changing jobsite priorities. 
Work Environment:
This role operates primarily on active construction sites and industrial project environments. Exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, and outdoor elements is routine.
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing ladders, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Medium physical effort required for extended periods.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
 
Full-Time,
Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Overtime and weekend work may be required based on project demands.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 5 years of electrical construction experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Valid State of Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
- OSHA 30-hour certification.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Associate degree or trade school certification in Electrical Technology or Construction Management.
- Experience with large-scale commercial, industrial, or civil infrastructure projects.
- NCCER or equivalent leadership training certification.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable):
Employee must be authorized to work in the United States and must possess a valid driver’s license.
