Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience in infrastructure, including Cloud, with excellent technical judgment.
- Track record of successfully working with remote or geographically distributed teams.
- Ability to support complex projects, with the goals of improving efficiency, scalability, and reducing manual effort.

As a Engineering Manager, you will design, builds, manages and supports some of the largest systems of their kind in the world, which are used to facilitate security management, physical building control and monitoring services across our global Fleet Infrastructure for Alphabet, acquisitions, bets, and other off-Google entities.

Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Software Engineers, fostering a collaborative, and high-performance culture.
- Provide technical expertise to support complex projects, with the goals of improving efficiency, scalability, and reducing manual effort.
- Define and drive the team technical strategy, and roadmap exercising strong technical judgment in line with fleet infrastructure engineering goals.
- Automate complex system administration tasks and eliminate repetitive work.
- Manage project priorities and resources effectively, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
