The AP Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end accounts payable process, with a focus on managing the relationship and performance of an outsourced service provider. This role ensures operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement through a robust governance framework.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight:

  • Manage the outsourced AP provider to ensure timely and accurate invoice processing, payments, and issue resolution.
  • Monitor service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between internal stakeholders and the outsourcing partner.

Establish and maintain a formal governance structure including:

  • Regular operational reviews (weekly/monthly) to assess performance and address issues.
  • Quarterly strategic reviews to evaluate service delivery, innovation, and alignment with business goals.
  • Escalation protocols for resolving service disruptions or compliance concerns.
  • Change management processes for system updates, policy changes, or scope adjustments.

Financial Controls & Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Oversee AP reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close activities.

Process Improvement & Automation:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives with the outsourcing provider.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and digital transformation.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Partner with internal departments (e.g., Procurement, Treasury, Finance, Business team) to ensure alignment and resolve issues.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership on AP performance, risks, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 10+ years of AP experience, with 3+ years in leadership.
  • Strong understanding of AP processes, ERP systems and governance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and drive performance.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Remote-Based, as requested by the line manager.
