Job Summary

This role reports to the Head of Purchase to Pay and you will be responsible for managing a team of accounts payable administrators.  Offering daily support as well as line manager duties including HR policy management and coaching.  As part of the P2P team you will be overseeing the processing of supplier payments, bank reconciliations, query resolution, statement reconciliations and ensuring KPIs are achieved, and SLAs are adhered to.  

As part of our continuous improvement, the role will also play an important part in identifying and driving transformation within the Shared Services Team, in order to streamline and maximise resources.

Duties and responsibilities

· Organise, supervise, and monitor the P2P Team activities efficiently and effectively to ensure all SLA's and KPI's are met

· Drives performance for department targets/ KPI and manages individual performance accordingly

· Provide expertise and act as a first point of escalation for resolving Payment Discrepancies / Supplier queries and Statement Reconciliations 

· Contribute to finance team meetings and support the work of team members as necessary

· Ensure that payment runs are completed weekly and allocated

· Ensure cash book transactions are posted and work with accountants on bank reconciliations

· Assist with internal and external audits 

· Work closely with other SSC Team leads / managers to implement and standardise to ensure maximum efficiencies.

· Support Head of P2P with projects and continuous improvement

· Hold Weekly 1-2-1 Meetings with each of your team members

· Provide Reporting on Performance for your relevant Team and support with any overall Team reporting requirements - presented Bi Weekly to Senior Management

· Adhere to HR policy management at all times

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

· Extensive Accounts Payable experience, preferably with one year's experience leading a high-performing team of more than 4 people

· Minimum of 5 GSCEs (Maths and English grade C or above).

· Able to identify and implement continuous improvements to key day to day activities

· Strong communication and organisational skills

· Experience in leading cross-functional projects and related management presentations

· Team player, supportive of others within the team 

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

· Competent IT skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

· Ability to work over a variety of systems to produce reports

· Experience within an Accounts Payable SSC environment and Knowledge of Banking platforms / Kyriba an advantage
