We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support end-to-end store and warehouse operations in a roll forming manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient inventory control, material availability, and adherence to safety and quality standards while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store and warehouse operations.
  • Manage the receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods.
  • Maintain accurate stock and inventory records, ensuring timely updates in ERP systems (SAP/Tally or similar).
  • Conduct regular stock verification, cycle counts, and reconciliation of variances.
  • Coordinate with production and procurement teams to meet material demand and supply timelines.
  • Monitor proper material handling, labeling, and storage practices to maintain efficiency and safety.
  • Supervise loading/unloading operations, ensuring strict adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Prepare and maintain reports on inventory levels, stock movement, and material wastage.
  • Assist in implementing lean inventory management to minimize non-moving and excess stock.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and support internal and external audits.
  • Train and guide store staff for improved operational performance and discipline.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse management systems.
  • Proficiency in ERP software (SAP/Tally) and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of materials used in roll forming and metal fabrication, including coils, steel sheets, fasteners, and consumables.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualification & Experience

  • Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering (preferred).
  • 6–8 years of experience in store management within roll forming, metal fabrication, or manufacturing industries.
  • Hands-on experience with inventory management tools, stock verification, and ISO compliance.
