Licensed Practical Nurse (CT Imaging Department) - Full Time presso None

In this role you will be:

• Assist in preparing patients for CT procedures, including explaining the process, obtaining consent, and ensuring proper positioning.
• Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures for adverse reactions or complications, reporting changes promptly.
• Start and monitor IVs and assist with the administration of contrast agents as per facility protocol and scope of practice.
• Answer phone, review charts, verify orders, and work with the authorization team, offices, and the call center for order verification.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR), including patient assessments, vital signs, medications administered, and nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with CT technologists, radiologists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and imaging workflows.
• Support infection control and radiation safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Respond to medical emergencies appropriately within the scope of practice.
• Ensure proper cleaning, stocking, and maintenance of exam rooms and equipment.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care, with attention to physical and emotional comfort during diagnostic procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited LPN program required
• EXPERIENCE: 1 year experience required, Medical Surgical experience preferred
• LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
  • BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire
  • Current license as an LPN in Pennsylvania
  • Complete IV Start Class
