Who We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Freight Operations Broker to coordinate and manage freight shipments, negotiate competitive rates, and maintain strong relationships with carriers and clients. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for logistics, this is the perfect role for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Freight Coordination: Manage shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely and efficient transportation.
• Freight Coverage Securing capacity in the market for customer shipments via cold calls to carriers and building carrier relationships.  This will include managing carrier qualifications, carrier onboarding and carrier rate negotiations.
• Shipment Tracking & Updates: Ensuring tracking is provided on each shipment 
• Client & Carrier Communication: Effective communication skills to ensure seamless experience for customers and carrier.
• Inside Sales Support: Identify new business opportunities and assist in customer development.
• Team Collaboration: Support team members by covering loads and responding to group emails promptly.
• Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues that arise during shipment transit.
• Other Duties as Assigned

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
• Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
• In-depth knowledge of freight operations and logistics
• Experience in inside sales within the transportation industry is advantageous
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced setting
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with clients and carriers
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to step in and assist where needed
