We’re hiring a Director of Maintenance (Plant Operations) – a proactive and hands-on leader who ensures our community’s physical environment is safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents, families, and associates.

You’re a skilled operations professional with deep expertise in maintenance and facilities management. You take pride in creating safe, functional, and beautiful spaces that support exceptional care. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Oversee all functions required to keep the physical facility in good repair and safe for residents, staff, and visitors
- Negotiate and manage contracts with outside vendors and service providers
- Support laundry and housekeeping operations as needed
- Supervise maintenance staff and ensure timely completion of work orders
- Respond to emergency maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with other departments to support community operations
- May be required to work outside of regular hours depending on business needs
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospital or institutional settings
- High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent required
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical repairs, general maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping procedures
- Preferred 1 year of experience supervising others, including coaching, performance feedback, and team collaboration
- Effective communicator in verbal and written English
- Active role: walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards
- Comfortable working in an environment with animals and pets
