Leonardo has a fantastic opportunity for a VP Commercial to join the leadership team in Edinburgh. Working in a dynamic, diverse and growing line of business, this role will lead a team who are involved in state of the art product and services. This exciting role will contribute to existing contracts as well as new relationships with an interesting portfolio of products and services in the UK, US and world wide markets. Ideally you will have knowledge and experience of the aerospace and defence contracting practises, within UK and Worldwide markets. The role is based in Edinburgh and will require onsite presence as well as supporting some flexibility around remote working within the role. 

What you’ll bring

• Be a key member and active contributor of the RATs Leadership Team and line of business;
• Be a key member and active contributor of the Electronics UK Business Area Procurement & Commercial Leadership Team and wider Function;
• Provision of leadership and expertise in all aspects of Commercial and Contracts management within RATs and the wider Electronics UK Business Area;
• Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with colleagues, Customers and Partners to deliver value both to our Customers, and to the Company;
• Responsibility for ensuring that Commercial and business processes and procedures are adhered to, and that internal approvals are in place in line with delegated authorities; and
• Responsibility for the implementation of Commercial best practice across RATs.

This is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above. The most important skill is a good attitude and willingness to learn.

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
