Lead (ML) Developer - Security Platform presso Arcticwolf

The Lead ML Developer will be responsible for the design and development of complex and exciting platforms in our Arctic Wolf Labs department. They will drive the technical roadmap of the Security platforms at Arctic Wolf and enable the teams to contribute to our Security Research and Threat Intelligence products and initiatives, and will develop cutting-edge systems, services, and frameworks for Arctic Wolf Labs. We are looking for a developer with a strong foundation of AI/ML concepts and workflows to join our pack, support a practice that will continuously evolve and expand the capabilities of our Security Research Service Development team, and contribute to our security products and services.

Leveraging the more than seven trillion security events the Arctic Wolf Security Operations Cloud ingests, parses, enriches, and analyses each week, Arctic Wolf Labs is responsible for performing threat research on new and emerging adversaries, developing advanced threat detection models, and driving improvement in the speed, scale, and detection abilities of Arctic Wolf’s solution offerings. The Arctic Wolf Labs team comprises security and threat intelligence researchers, data scientists, security development engineers with deep domain knowledge in artificial intelligence (AI), security R&D, as well as advanced threat offensive and defensive methods and technologies. Security Research Services Development partners with these groups to understand requirements, design & implement scalable, fault-tolerant solutions, and build the next generation of security capabilities for Arctic Wolf. 

Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Lead ML Developer to be part of making that happen.   

As A Lead ML Developer At Arctic Wolf, You Will: 

• Architect and develop distributed microservices using Python, Golang, and cloud-native technologies. 

• Build and scale high-performance ML services and pipelines for model training, evaluation, and deployment. 

• Apply LangChain, MCP, and other agentic frameworks to create intelligent, modular ML workflows. 

• Design and implement backend systems using PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, DynamoDB, and Kubernetes. 

• Collaborate with Security Researchers and ML teams to define infrastructure requirements and deliver robust data services. 

• Use MLOps best practices to automate CI/CD workflows with tools like Jenkins, CloudFormation, and Terraform. 

• Develop orchestration platforms using Airflow, Dagster, or AWS Step Functions. 

• Implement real-time data streaming solutions using Kafka, Kinesis, or SQS/SNS. 

• Mentor team members and influence technical direction across cross-functional teams. 

• Continuously explore new technologies and approaches to improve system performance and scalability. 

 We’re Looking For Someone Who has: 

• 8+ years of experience in ML development, including model training, feature engineering, and deployment. 

• Hands-on experience building data pipelines for real-time ingestion and transformation. 

• Deep understanding of data lake technologies and formats (Parquet, ORC, Avro), and query engines (Athena, Presto). 

• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java, with strong backend development skills. 

• Experience with container orchestration and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, IaC). 

• Familiarity with ML frameworks and libraries, and a passion for building intelligent, autonomous systems. 

• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges
