Administrative Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY: The Administrative Coordinator of Crisis Services provides oversight and operational leadership for crisis response programs across CommuniCare and its partner organizations. This role ensures service quality, administrative staff supervision, interagency collaboration, and compliance with organizational and funder standards. The Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining safety, driving performance improvement, and supporting administrative functions that sustain effective crisis care delivery.

Program Oversight & Service Delivery

  • Oversee and evaluate all crisis services to ensure quality, effectiveness, and compliance with organizational and funder standards.
  • Support the coordination daytime crisis response operations and ensure timely data submission to DMHAS.
  • Promote safety for staff and program participants.

Program Supervision & Staff Development

  • Provide administrative supervision to the After Hours Supervisor and all telephonic/mobile crisis clinicians.
  • Recruit behavioral health staff for telephonic and mobile crisis roles.
  • Supervise staff performance in alignment with organizational policies and applicable laws.
  • Support staff engagement in wellness and satisfaction initiatives.
  • Maintain professional development through continuing education.

Community & Interagency Collaboration

  • Communicate with daytime crisis operations at partner agencies to align with after-hours services as required.
  • Represent the program in community meetings with DMHAS, law enforcement, and other partners.
  • Foster strong relationships with local police departments within the catchment area.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Yale Director to ensure continuity of care.

Policy, Procedure & Quality Improvement

  • Develop, review, and revise crisis care procedures and regulations.
  • Collaborate with provider agencies to monitor performance and implement improvements.
  • Conduct incident reviews and investigate complaints from program participants, professionals, and the public.
  • Maintain and update on-call documentation templates.
  • Manage program data and generate regular reports on service metrics, complaints, and quality events.

Administrative & Strategic Support

  • Oversee scheduling for telephonic and mobile clinicians.
  • Participate in program reviews with Yale and CCI leadership.
  • Assist in identifying and pursuing crisis-related funding opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (HR, IT, etc.) to support administrative operations.
  • Serve as a resource and representative on internal and external committees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


  • Master’s degree in a behavioral health field with active licensure (LCSW/LMFT/LPC preferred), and a minimum of three years of experience delivering clinical and recovery support services.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a supervisory role required.  Experience supervising staff in a remote work setting preferred.
  • Proven collaborative and negotiating skills.
  • One year of experience working with culturally diverse populations.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, overnights and weekends is required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft 365. Must be able to navigate through electronic health records system (EHR).
