Job Description:

The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Neurology, is seeking a full-time Neurologist with a strong interest in resident education and supervision to join our academic faculty. This position plays a key role in supporting the department’s mission to deliver high-quality patient care, provide exceptional training for future neurologists. Job Duties Outlined:

  • Serve as attending physician for resident continuity clinics, providing direct supervision, teaching, and mentorship to neurology residents as they develop outpatient clinical skills.

  • Provide outpatient care to patients in the general neurology clinic.

  • Teach and mentor medical students and residents in both inpatient and outpatient settings; contribute to departmental educational activities and didactic sessions.

  • Engage in scholarly activities, such as quality improvement, education research, or clinical research in general neurology.

  • Contribute to the neurology residency and medical school programs, helping foster a supportive and high-quality learning environment.

Required Qualifications

Education: MD/DO

This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have the foundational knowledge and skill set required to perform the duties of the position.  The level of degree is based on accreditation requirements, institutional standards of academic and professional excellence, alignment with peer institution benchmarks, and contributes to the credibility and effectiveness of the role within the university community.

License/Certifications:             

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology

  • Eligible for medical licensure in Kansas and Missouri
