Act as a leader of the Operations Team at Harvest’s North Slope LNG facility. Effectively lead the Operators in a collaborative manner to safely operate the LNG facility.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Key operator in charge of reviewing PFDs, P&IDs, and associated drawings to build SOPs and operations philosophy through commissioning and start-up of the LNG plant.
- Responsible for training the rest of the operations team for day one start-up. Will be control room/board operator qualified.
- Manages and reviews daily plant operations to consistently improve plant reliability and efficiency.
- Aids and/or advises on plant operational troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with the Plant Engineer to analyze plant performance and efficiencies and manage the implementation of identified improvements.
- Review results from nightly water labs and amine sampling and ensures the team has taken appropriate actions.
- Oversee and improve the operation of the reverse osmosis(RO) system and its upkeep. Filter changes, Clean in Place, ensuring we have enough mixed media beds available and scheduling bed exchanges, etc. This includes training all Operators how this system works and what needs to be done to maintain it.
- Ensure that the facility maintains proper chemical inventories including lab supplies, RO and steam system chemicals, amine, glycol, etc.
- Coordinate annual Facility shutdown on behalf of the Operations team.
- Review and/or initiate Operations work plans for equipment start-up and shutdowns (LOTO and Isolation).
- Serve as a qualified OQ (Operator Qualification) Evaluator/Trainer to qualify new hire Harvest Midstream operators and/or re-qualify operators per DOT requirements.
- Oversee and ensures completion of CTM tasks and downtime tracker for compliance with environmental air permit requirements, stormwater & snow removal management, and SAA/hazardous waste standards.
- Oversee and ensure that all SOP's are updated throughout the year and kept current with MOC's that require procedure changes.
- Prioritize EAM work orders input by the Operations team.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance personnel to build procedures for EAM PM activities as well as critical spares philosophy.
- Work with SCADA techs on communication issues.
- Oversee the training of Operators (Board and Outside) and other employees who are working towards becoming certified in Operations roles. On predetermined days of the month, fill in for the Outside Operator role, allowing the Outside Operator to train on the Board.
- Manage the Operator schedule and help cover shifts for emergency/unexpected Operator PTO.
- Be willing to work in a remote arctic location on a 14days-on/14days-off rotation and on night-shift when needed. Shift will consist of 12 hour days or nights.
- Be trained and ready to step into a full time Operator rotation in the event that an emergency/ unexpected absence occurs.
- Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).

Qualifications:
- Ten (10) years minimum experience in gas treating facilities or related industry.
- Self-starter with proven leadership skills, team player, comfortable working under pressure, and dedicated to developing and leading a team.
- Outstanding management, administrative, and organizational skills.
- Ability to accurately solve problems.
- Ability to work long hours in order to cover/monitor assigned field territory.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex information into an organized and presentable manner.
