Job Summary:
The Roto Mold Lead assists the shift Supervisor with ensuring that the finished product meets the quality and quantity standards and that work is conducted safely and efficiently. This position is also responsible for the training of new employees.
Essential Functions:
- Oversees the work of all Roto Mold employees ensuring that the quality and quantity of the production meets the product standards.
- Inspects products to ensure appropriate weight, wall thickness and other quality tests to meet product spacifications.
- Conducts and follows up on prior inspections’ findings to address issues with employees and makes recommendations to the shift Supervisor.
- Provides continued support and feedback to production employees to ensure that work is conducted effectively and safely.
- Verifies production count at the start and end of the shift.
- Helps relieve workers from production during their corresponding breaks.
- Assists with material, color, and mold changes process.
- Helps with equipment maintenance, repairs troubleshooting, and reports issues to the supervisor or department manager.
- Coordinates the activities of the team to ensure that all processes and procedures are followed accurately and efficiently.
- Keeps the team motivated to achieve daily goals and acts as a mentor to other team members.
- Provides regular feedback to supervisor regarding the performance of the team, including identifying areas for improvement and recommending strategies to enhance productivity and quality.
- Collaborates with other leads and supervisors to develop and implement process improvements and best practices for the department.
- Participates in the training of new employees.

- Collaborates with other members of the team to ensure that deadlines are met, and products are delivered on time.
- Consistently abides by established safety rules, procedures, and regulations including wearing required safety equipment such as safety shoes and glasses.
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
- Identifies and reports quality or safety issues to supervisor or manager.
- Works effectively with co-workers and supervisors, sharing knowledge, resources, and experience to achieve production goals in a timely fashion, while promoting respect, communication, and teamwork.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

- Attention to detail: The ability to accurately follow instructions with a high level of concentration to safely operate machinery and achieve desired results.
- Time management skills: The ability to work efficiently and prioritize tasks is important to ensure appropriate consistency and quantity of material is processed to meet production needs.
- Communication skills: Good verbal and written communication skills are important to work effectively with other team members and plant personnel.
- Basic math skills: Basic arithmetic skills are necessary to accurately count, read and use various measurements in the execution of the job.
- Attention to safety: The ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines when using equipment is important to maintain a safe work environment.
- Project management: The ability to lead, organize and oversee the work of a team to achieve specific objectives within a given time frame.
- Action oriented: The ability to take initiative, set priorities, delegate tasks, and drive results, while providing guidance, support, and feedback to team members.
- Delegation: The ability to assign tasks and responsibilities effectively, based on team members' skills and capabilities, while providing clear expectations, feedback, and support to ensure successful completion of projects and goals.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma/GED, or equivalent work experience.
- At least two years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

- Physical dexterity: The employee must be able to bend, twist, and reach while handling items and using power and hand tools. The employee is also required to stand, walk, use hands to handle and feel, and to hear.
- Lifting: The employee must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 25 lbs on a regular basis, and boxes weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Vision: The vision requirements for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Endurance: The employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Exposure to elements: The employee will be working in a warehouse environment and may be exposed to varying temperatures and inclement weather conditions. There will also be frequent exposure to heat, dirt, dust and water
- Noise level: The employee will be exposed to moderate noise levels in the workplace for the majority of the day, due to the constant use of forklift and hand-held power tools.
