Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in medical billing or a related field.
- Familiarity with electronic billing systems and software.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with specific healthcare billing software (e.g., ModMed, SIS, InSync, Jopari).
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and insurance policies.
Accurate and efficient in data entry skills
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Responsibilities:
- Open, sort, distribute mail daily to appropriate staff or departments.
- Handle and scan incoming and outgoing billing-related mail (e.g., EOBs, denials, patient statements).
Respond to billing inquiries from patients, insurance carriers, and daily reconciliation of payment batches .
- Maintain and update patient billing records and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
Review and assist with preparing patient delinquent accounts and collections.
Communicate any patient account issues to management.
Occasional travel to the post office or Precision clinic offices.
Check designated voicemail throughout the day.
