📍 Location: 225 Talbot Boulevard, Chestertown, MD 21620
🕒 Shift Hours: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday
💲 Pay Range: $17-$19 per hour + 15% Shift Premium

The Dixon Group is looking for a CNC Operator Trainee to join our team on the 2nd shift in Chestertown, MD! This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude who wants to learn valuable technical skills and work with advanced machinery. In this role, you’ll be trained to set up and operate Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) mills and lathes to produce precision metal components. You’ll learn how to inspect products against engineering drawings, identify machining issues, and make necessary adjustments—all while working in a supportive, safety-focused environment.

🔧 What You'll Do:
Participate in hands-on training to learn CNC machine setup and operation.
Produce metal components according to engineering specifications.
Learn to identify and correct basic machining issues.
Gain familiarity with Dixon’s product lines and quality standards.
Collaborate with your team to ensure smooth and safe production processes.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
🎯What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or related coursework preferred.
- Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
Mechanical aptitude and an eagerness to learn.
Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (training provided if needed).
Comfort using hand tools and applying basic shop math.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of your shift.
A positive attitude and commitment to working safely.
