Enterprise Directory Solutions Architect

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT 
As an Enterprise Directory Solutions Architect, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the customer’s mission. You will play a crucial role in ensuring Enterprise Directory services are functioning properly and securely. 

  • Provide expertise in the following areas: 

  • Active Directory Architecture 

  • Public Key Infrastructure  

  • Integration with third party monitoring solutions, cloud platforms, hardware and software modules. 

  • Integration with internal and external identity providers 

  • Active Directory Administration 

  • Group Policy Management 

  • Domain Controller Management 

  • Active Directory Schema Management 

  • Define and implement directory services strategies aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives. 

  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions for directory services. 

  • Optimize the performance and scalability of directory services environments. 

  • Establish and enforce security policies and controls related to directory services. 

  • Perform regular security audits and assessments to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. 

  • Respond to and remediate security incidents related to directory services. 

  • Stay informed about emerging directory services technologies and trends. 

  • Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance the directory services environment. 

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize directory services processes. 

  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to directory services. 

  • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting assistance to IT staff and end-users. 

  • Develop documentation and standard operating procedures for directory services. 

  • Lead directory services-related projects, ensuring timelines and objectives are met. 

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success. 

  • Prepare project documentation, including design specs, implementation plans, and status reports. 

 

 
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED 
Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Identity and Access Management Senior Engineer must have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related fieldExperience may be substituted for education. 

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in directory services architecture and management. 

  • Deep knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, and other directory services technologies. 

  • Strong understanding of security protocols and best practices. 

  • Experience with hybrid environments and cloud-based directory services. 

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCSA, ITIL) are preferred

The likely salary range for this position is $170,000 - $230,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
