Requirements / Qualifications

Under the supervision of the Director of Early Learning and Family Support or designee, the Together We Grow Family Specialist works with parents, guardians, families and community agencies to support practices and approaches which meet the developmental needs of children. This position is funded through grants from the California Department of Education and First 5 El Dorado. Qualifications: A combination of formal education and work experience at a level to demonstrate the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described. An Associate of Arts or Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field is preferred. Knowledge of child development, family interaction and community resources desired. Experience in leading playgroups, early childhood education, navigation, and knowledge of local resources in El Dorado County. Knowledge of child development and community resources is strongly desired. Strong communication and problem solving skills.

Salary Info

Initial pay is on step one of the range. EDCOE pays $873/month toward medical (prorated for less than full-time); no cost dental, life insurance, EAP, long term disability; $4.64/month vision; CalPERS retirement.
