Bensalem Township School District seeks a dynamic and visionary instructional leader to serve as the next Principal of Struble Elementary School. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, student-centered leader committed to fostering a culture of academic excellence, equity, and continuous improvement. This individual will serve as the instructional leader of the school, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning, strong school climate, and strategic community partnerships that support the whole child.

 

Position: Principal
Location: Struble Elementary School(K-6)
Reports to: Assistant Superintendent for K-12 Administration
Employment Type: Full-Time, 12-Month Position

 

Key Responsibilities:

Instructional Leadership:

  • Set a clear vision for high student achievement and ensure the implementation of rigorous, standards-aligned instruction.
  • Lead data-driven decision-making by analyzing student performance data to inform instruction and intervention strategies.
  • Promote evidence-based instructional practices that engage all learners, including differentiation, inquiry-based learning, and culturally responsive teaching.
  • Supervise and evaluate teachers through coaching cycles and actionable feedback that improve instructional quality.
  • Support and expand Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to address academic and behavioral needs.

School Climate and Culture:

  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment where students feel valued, respected, and motivated to learn.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and professional learning community among faculty and staff that focuses on continuous growth.
  • Engage families and the community as partners in student learning, ensuring strong home-school relationships.
  • Implement equitable and restorative discipline practices that promote student accountability and social-emotional development.

Organizational & Operational Leadership:

  • Develop and manage the school’s budget, aligning resources to instructional priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal policies and regulations.
  • Lead effective school operations, including staffing, scheduling, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with central office administrators to support district-wide initiatives, including curriculum development and professional learning.
  • Other duties as assigned

Equity & Community Engagement:

  • Champion district Student Success Initiative Plan activities by ensuring access to rigorous instruction and culturally responsive teaching practices.
  • Build strong family and community partnerships that enhance student learning and well-being.
  • Leverage community resources and grants to expand student opportunities and supports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by district leadersip.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or related field
  • Valid Pennsylvania Principal Certification.
  • Minimum of five years of teaching experience with demonstrated success in improving student outcomes.
  • Minimum of three years of administrative or leadership experience in a school setting.
  • Strong expertise in curriculum, instruction, assessment, and data analysis to drive student achievement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead collaborative, high-performing teams of educators.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and serving diverse student populations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing MTSS, PBIS, and restorative practices.
  • Background in leading school turnaround or improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in leveraging technology to enhance instruction and school operations.
  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus.

Physical Demands
This position requires sitting, standing, and moving frequently. The ability to lift minimum of 15 pounds. The position also requires the use of a computer for extended periods. It involves performing a variety of duties and working under varying levels of stress.

Evaluation
Performance will be evaluated annually per the district’s policies and procedures
