Purpose of Position

The Scheduling Specialist, Senior requires full proficiency in Scheduling with a limited degree of supervision. This individual has positive impact on the team through quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of work. In addition, the Scheduling Specialist, Senior is also proficient in the following areas: Scheduling Team advocate and representative for shadowing, projects and meetings and will have a working knowledge for scheduling, Region 4 scheduling, DCA waivers.  Scheduling Specialist, Senior is a resource for colleagues with less experience.  

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Monitor the next day flight schedule created by Fusion.  Incorporate new bookings and changes to bookings into the flight schedule.  Build and maximize recovery capacity into the schedule.  Refine and maintain the flight schedule.  Decision making skills are used to recover from unanticipated events.  Objective is to continuously search for opportunities to reduce schedule cost while keeping a robust schedule in a dynamic enviroment. 
• Communicates important information in a timely manner to all business units including Crew Members and Scheduling Specialist. Responsible for inbound  phone  calls from crew and mainatining a positive relationship with our crewmembers.  Responsible for proactive and reactive briefing of crewmembers on all aspects of each trip and duty day both electronically and verbally.
• Working in conjuntion with the Scheduling Training Specialist regarding internal shadowing requests and employee on the job training. May act as a subject matter expert
• Ensure that all quality standards for service and unique Owner requests are met. Implements and maintains a Safety then Service practice into all planning and communications.  Ensure compliance with two union agreements for crew members.  Ensure FAR compliance for the crews and aircraft.
• Subject Matter Expert for Pod Specialist representation and  business processes. Problem solving - provides solutions to problems in situations that occur infrequently based on existing precedents or procedures.
• Builds relationships with internal teams to ensure a positive experience for both the Crew and Owners by explaining complex technical information including interdependencies within the team and others.
• Attend Core Learning and Shadowing classes found through Global Campus to enhance company business acumen.

• Previous experience in a fast paced, dynamic work environment and the ability to multi-task with limited supervision are crucial to this position

Base Salary Range

$52,500 - $115,500
