Summary/Objective 

Perform general accounting tasks for Housing Assistance Corp and Asclepius Corporation as assigned by the VP of Finance.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accounts receivable management
  • Monthly rent posting and reconciliation
  • Preparation and posting of daily deposits.
  • Monthly Bank Statement Reconciliations
  • Cash Management
  • Monthly invoicing as required to support HAC’s programs
  • General Ledger reconciliations
  • Accounts Payable and Vendor Setups
  • Support the monthly close and audit process
  • Cross train in backup positions

 

 

Additional Duties

  • General office duties including maintaining detailed accounting records
  • Be
    familiar with and incorporate HAC’s Guiding Values into daily job responsibilities.
  • Support Company mission and culture.
  • Other Finance duties as assigned



Required Skills and Abilities

  • Computer proficiency w/ spreadsheets & computerized accounting and ERP systems
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles
  • Knowledge of accounting processes
  • Ability to work in a Team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

 

Education/ Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree accounting or related field preferred
  • 5 years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit environment

 

Physical requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at

 

Work Environment

  • The functions of this role are conducted in an office and team environment.



Hours of Work

  • This role is paid on an hourly basis.
  • The hours of work for this position are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, 35 hours per week.
