The Retail Manager supervises the Retail team and is accountable for the customer experience, growth, and policy/procedure adherence of retail at the Roseau location. The Retail Manager will also directly serve customers with all retail functions, including teller transactions, account opening/servicing and retail lending.

Retail Manager Accountabilities:

  • Create an exceptional customer experience from start to finish. Help customers make the most of their accounts by answering questions, completing maintenance, and proactively offering solutions.
  • Contribute to branch goals for growth and relationship building. Actively participate in retail initiatives and campaigns. Engage and educate customers and prospects via multiple channels.
  • Be knowledgeable about and educate customers on additional banking products and services such as checking and savings accounts, CDs, IRAs/HSAs, debit cards, retail loans, credit cards, cash management and electronic banking. Always prioritize the customer's best interest in sales related activities.
  • Be generally familiar with non-retail products the bank offers and actively refer customers to the appropriate department/individual for those products. Establish deposit relationships to further serve customers of other areas of the bank.
  • Manage retail loan portfolio, as assigned, or originated, by servicing, research, maintenance, tickler follow up and enacting past due procedures.
  • Manage the staff performing the retail functions. This will include participation in employee selection, training, motivation, and monitoring performance against established standards. Ability to lead and influence the retail team through banking objectives/goals.
  • Maintain accurate records and timely processing of employee timecards, scheduling, and time off.
  • Active involvement in community and civic organizations, as appropriate, to represent the bank in the community.
