About the Role:
As a Cardiovascular Sonographer, you will independently perform routine and advanced ultrasound duties in an invasive, non-invasive, and interventional cardiovascular setting. This role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and the capacity to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging to support patient care and outcomes.
How You’ll Drive Our Mission Forward:
Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images and blood flow data based on established protocols.
Distinguish between normal and abnormal findings and ensure comprehensive imaging of any identified abnormalities.
Review patient charts and clinical data to ensure appropriate and thorough testing.
Record patient information, prepare study worksheets, and assist physicians in reviewing and confirming diagnostic findings.
Dictate study reports for transcription and ensure documentation is accurate and complete within the EMR.
Maintain a clean and well-stocked work area and ensure all equipment is cleaned and properly maintained.
Coordinate patient scheduling and support patient comfort and safety throughout procedures.
Assist in staffing other clinics and departments as needed, and escort patients to their next point of care when appropriate.
Provide clinical training and mentorship for staff as needed.
Stay up to date with the latest developments in vascular technology and maintain appropriate certifications.
What Makes You a Great Match:
Completion of an accredited cardiovascular ultrasound program, X-ray program with post-ultrasound training, cardiopulmonary program with post-ultrasound training, or a bachelor's degree with post-ultrasound training
ARDMS or CCI registry in both Vascular and Cardiac Ultrasound (eligibility may be considered)
- ECHO screening experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
Strong understanding of cross-sectional and sagittal anatomy, as well as normal and abnormal flow characteristics
Willingness to travel to and assist at various CIS clinics as needed
Commitment to excellence in patient care, safety, and diagnostic accuracy
