ey Responsibilities
Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to pediatric inpatients in collaboration with physicians and RNs.
Monitor, assess, and document symptoms, treatments, and progress using SAMMC/WHASC standards.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including IV therapies and emergency interventions.
Recognize and respond to life-threatening situations and initiate life-saving measures when necessary.
Operate emergency medical equipment such as defibrillators, EKGs, and cardiac monitors.
Assist with admissions, discharges, and family education to promote rehabilitation and recovery.
Requirements
Qualifications
1+ year full-time LVN/LPN experience in an Inpatient Pediatric Unit (within the past 3 years) — hospital setting only
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (National League of Nursing approved)
Active LVN/LPN license – any U.S. state or jurisdiction
Current BLS and PALS certifications (AHA or ARC)
Knowledge of pediatric medication dosages; willingness to train in chemotherapy support
Must pass a pediatric pharmacology exam (80% or higher) and BAMC Telemetry Test
U.S. citizenship and eligibility for government background clearance
