Delta Community Supports is looking for Director of Community-Based Services, responsible for overseeing and coordinating the delivery of community-based services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This position is critical in ensuring that services are person-centered, compliant with applicable regulations, and aligned with ODP's mission of promoting inclusion, independence, and quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities. The Director is responsible for developing new services and expanding existing services, and ensuring effective community integration, access to services, and support for individuals served by ODP. The position requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including service providers, families, government agencies, and community organizations.    
          

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership: Design, expand, and oversee community-based services in alignment with Delta’s mission, ODP regulations, and best practices.

  • Regulatory Compliance & Quality: Monitor service delivery to ensure adherence to state, federal, and Medicaid/waiver program requirements while promoting continuous quality improvement.

  • Financial Oversight: Develop and manage budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and identify funding opportunities to ensure program sustainability.

  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and mission-driven work culture.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build partnerships with families, providers, government agencies, and community organizations to ensure coordinated, person-centered care.

  • Policy & Advocacy: Stay abreast of legislation and advocate for inclusive policies supporting the rights and integration of individuals with IDD.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting to assess outcomes, satisfaction, and service effectiveness.

  • Crisis Leadership: Provide guidance in crisis situations and develop contingency plans to ensure service continuity and safety.

  • Service Development & Expansion: Lead initiatives to innovate new services and strategically scale existing ones, ensuring alignment with community needs and compliance standards.

 

Qualifications


  •  

  • Bachelor's degree/Associates in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Public Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

  • At least 5-7 years of experience managing community-based services for individuals with developmental disabilities, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

  • Extensive knowledge of developmental disabilities, person-centered planning, and applicable laws and regulations (e.g., ODP guidelines, ADA, and HIPAA).
