~THE JOB

Pourri is seeking a Product Development Manager to lead the creation and execution of new product initiatives across our personal care and air care categories. This role manages New Product Development (NPD) from concept through commercialization, working cross-functionally to ensure timely launches, vendor alignment, and product excellence. While the focus is product development, a working knowledge of regulatory basics is essential to support compliant innovation.

 

~THE RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Manage NPD projects from concept to commercialization as assigned.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to track development stages, update dashboards, and communicate project status.
  • Distribute product information to marketing and sales teams to support collaborative development.
  • Gather, organizing, and tracking vendor documentation required for qualification.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors, communicating essential information to ensure timely launches.
  • Research and advice on specific ingredients and/or claims.
  • Review and summarize clinical studies for both internal and external products.
  • Coordinate all testing required for current Pourri products and those in the NPD pipeline.
  • Support documentation and applications for certifications relevant to Scentsible Brands (e.g., Leaping Bunny, Vegan, B-Corp).
  • Maintain continuous awareness of new products, market trends, and relevant government regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Sales, Purchasing, Sourcing, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure product readiness.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to innovation strategy.
  • Lead special projects assigned to support company growth and product expansion.

 

~THE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Product Development, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in product development within a CPG company.
  • Experience in personal care, air care, or beauty categories strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with SDS, GHS, and product labeling is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with external vendors and contract manufacturers.
