About the Department
Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) has an exciting Term Limited Temporary (TLT) opportunity with our Drainage and Wastewater (DWW) Logistics Division. We are seeking a highly motivated TLT Administrative Staff Assistant to focus on a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) process as part of succession planning efforts in the Logistics Division.
This temporary opportunity is fully benefited and expected to last up to 35-months in duration. This position open to all qualified candidates.

Position Duties
Primary responsibilities for TLT Logistic Administrative Staff Analyst:
- Collect and review existing standard operating procedures in the Logistics Division
- Develop list of SOPs that need to be written
- Develop template to standardize existing and future SOPs
- Coordinate the development of a process for creating and reviewing Division SOPs
- Learn the Logistic Division practices through 1-1 work with individual teams
- Assist staff in writing and reviewing new SOPs
- Serve as liaison with sections, divisions, and/or departments regarding division practices
- Prepare correspondence, answer questions, or other requests for information from sources outside the unit or division
- Create and manage SharePoint site for SOPs and provide applicable training
- Perform other administrative staff analyst duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Two (2) years of administrative, or related experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration or combination of education, training and/or experience that provides an equivalent background to perform the work
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of teams performing different work.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and SharePoint
- Strong writing skills
- Work experience providing excellent customer service

The full salary range for this position is $45.74 per hour - $53.27 per hour.
- Workplace Environment/Expectation: This is a full time, temporary position and will require five (5) days in-office with the possibility of some flexibility in the future. Individual schedules will be agreed upon by the employee and their supervisor.
