We’re Hiring: Activities Aide – Make a Difference Every Day!

At Christ the King Manor we believe in creating a warm, engaging, and joyful environment for our residents—and you can be a part of it! We are currently seeking a compassionate, energetic Activities Aide to join our dedicated team. This is your opportunity to brighten lives and bring meaningful moments to our seniors every day.

Responsibilities:

Assist in planning, organizing , and leading recreational activities for residents

Help residents participate in games, crafts, music, exercise, and special events

Support residents’ emotional and social well-being

Maintain activity supplies and help set up events

Work closely with other team members to create a fun and supportive atmosphere and by presenting appropriate activity programs according to resident's physical capacity, cognitive ability and interest

Assist in transporting residents to activity program

Delivers mail, flowers and other items to residents in timely manner and reads mail to residents upon request.

Maintains competency & is tested to be competent in: subject to change based on educational needs of staff.

Safety and care of resident during transport.

Safety and care of resident during activities.

Follows proper procedures during resident activity such as ceramics, crafts, needlework, games, etc.

Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:

A warm, friendly personality and a genuine interest in working with older adults

Ability to communicate clearly and positively with residents and staff

Creativity and a good sense of humor are highly valued!

Previous experience in a healthcare or recreational setting is a plus—but not required

Must be able to pass background check and health screening
