Job Description

This position serves as the accounting lead for the Snap Loan entity, managing all aspects of the monthly close and fair value reporting process. The Senior Accountant will handle complex, judgment-based areas such as loan valuation, charge-offs, merchant settlements, and balance sheet reconciliations. This role also serves as the main point of contact for audit support and is responsible for mentoring and reviewing work prepared by the junior staff accountant.

 

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Own and execute all accounting close deliverables for US loan portfolio, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare and review complex analyses such as fair value adjustments (ASC 825), loan loss tracking, and loan-level reconciliations between LoanPro and NetSuite.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies in loan performance data, settlement funding, and valuation adjustments.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and propose solutions to improve reporting accuracy and close timelines.
  • Review and guide the junior accountant’s work (daily loan accruals, settlement entries, and reconciliations).
  • Serve as audit liaison for assigned areas, providing clear, complete support to RSM and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.

 

What would make you stand out:

  • 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience
  • A bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related filed.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and tools, such as ERP systems and Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

 

What would make you stand out:

  • Public accounting or financial services experience strongly preferred.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Oracle NetSuite and Tableau experience preferred.
