- Supervise students and consistently administer rules regarding student behavior during detention.
- Inform students of rules and expectations.
- Maintain an atmosphere in which students are expected to remain seated and silent when appropriate.
- Works with the administration to have in-school serve as an effective preventative disciplinary technique.
- Assist students as needed with instructional assignments.
- Keep accurate records of student attendance and behavior, including any tardiness, and submit to the administration in a timely fashion.
- Engage the learners in differentiated learning experiences for the range of skill levels and developmental needs found in the classroom, managing, when appropriate, multiple instructional activities simultaneously.

ISS (In-School Suspension) Monitor
Position Purpose
Provides council to students concerning the impact of their actions. Obtains student assignments, textbooks, and materials. Maintains and reports daily attendance and records assignment completion status of students required to attend in school suspension. Assists students as needed.
Salary: $36,126.00 -$58,269.00 (Commensurate with Experience)

Essential Job Functions
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards
Must possess a bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, education, or a related field with some related experience providing services for school aged children; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that would provide the noted knowledge, skills, and abilities.
