About Mashura

Mashura is a veterinary inventory management and technology company helping animal health practices streamline operations, control costs, and improve efficiency. We are in a phase of stabilization and rebuilding, establishing the structure and processes needed to support long-term growth.

We need a capable, experienced HR Director who can handle the full scope of HR operations, including recruiting, benefits, compliance, and employee relations, while bringing order and professionalism to a fast-moving environment. This role requires someone who is steady under pressure, grounded in execution, and confident managing all HR functions independently.

What You’ll Do

As Mashura’s sole HR leader, you’ll manage every core area of HR, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, compliance, and employee relations. This is a full-scope position that blends strategy with execution, ideal for someone who enjoys being both the architect and the operator.
  • Own all daily HR operations for a multi-state workforce.
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting: job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and offer management.
  • Manage onboarding, offboarding, HRIS data, and personnel records.
  • Oversee benefit administration, open enrollment, and vendor coordination.
  • Partner with Finance on payroll accuracy and employee changes.
  • Handle employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Maintain compliance with FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, ERISA, and all state regulations.
  • Keep policies, forms, and employee handbooks up to date.
  • Support compensation reviews and performance processes.
  • Champion a transparent, accountable, and compliant workplace culture.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree required; HR certification preferred (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP).
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience with broad generalist exposure.
  • Proven ability to independently manage HR across multiple states.
  • Experience in private-equity-backed or high-growth companies strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with recruiting, benefits, compliance, and employee relations.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with strong follow-through.
  • Comfortable working on-site and partnering directly with executive leadership.

How to Apply

If you’re an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, and you’re ready to take ownership of the HR function for a growing company, we’d like to hear from you.
