PRODUCTION HOURLY 

General Summary: JBS is seeking quality, motivated people to join the JBS team. This role will involve janitorial responsibilities, along with a variety of other duties as assigned. Candidates who excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are looking for a position with strong potential for growth will be an ideal fit for this position.    

Responsibilities: 

•        Use assortment of knives, steel, and a hook to perform job tasks
•        Keep knife sharp (develop good knife sharpening skills)
•        Operate heavy equipment
•        Bag and Box product
•        Must use proper personal protective equipment effectively
•        Expected to work, hands on, at a high speed and lift over 50 lbs
•        Must keep work areas clean and follow proper food safety protocols
•        Must adhere to JBS specifications in product to ensure quality of meat
•        May have to shave or wash animal meat befor packing
•        Inspect meat or meat products and/or packaging
•        Stay aware of your surrounding and notify a supervisor if you recognize a hazard

•        Other duties as assigned  

Qualifications:

•        Production and maintenance settings
•        Experience working in a similarly situated manufacturing company preferred
•        Exposure to various chemicals, machinery, and knives
•        Slippery floors, cold temperatures, and loud ambient noise
•        Ability to work 40+ hours
•        Good attendance and safety records

•        Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
