The Role
This position will support all subcontracting activities across multiple projects — from supplier prequalification and bid preparation to negotiation, award, and post-award administration. The Subcontractor Specialist will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager and Subcontractor Manager to ensure that all subcontractors are qualified, contracts are commercially sound, and execution is aligned with project schedules, safety, and quality standards. This role plays a key part in implementing a structured and performance-driven subcontracting process under our modernized Supply Chain framework.

Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end subcontracting process, including prequalification, RFQ issuance, bid evaluation, negotiation, award, and administration.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Terms & Conditions (T&C), and subcontract frameworks in collaboration with Legal and Commercial teams.
- Support contract strategy development for each project, ensuring consistency with company standards and client requirements.
- Coordinate the onboarding and qualification of new subcontractors, verifying HSE, QA/QC, financial, and commercial compliance.
- Review and manage subcontract scopes, terms, pricing schedules, and performance obligations.
- Support bid evaluation processes, including technical and commercial comparisons and vendor clarifications.
- Participate in contract negotiations to ensure favorable commercial positions and mitigate potential risks.
- Manage the issuance, tracking, and updates of subcontract agreements in ERP or document management systems.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, progress, and compliance with schedule, scope, and safety requirements.
- Support the change management and variation order process with subcontractors, ensuring all changes are properly documented and approved per delegation of authority (DoA).
- Interface with Construction, Engineering, QA/QC, and Project Controls teams to resolve subcontract-related issues promptly.
- Participate in regular performance and coordination meetings with subcontractors and project stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive records of subcontract negotiations, correspondence, and commercial agreements.
- Uphold compliance with all internal policies, the Supply Chain Code of Conduct, and regulatory requirements.

Expected:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Law, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in subcontract administration or commercial roles within EPC, oil & gas, or industrial project environments.
- Proven experience supporting contract preparation, negotiation, and post-award administration.
- Understanding of commercial terms, contracting principles, and risk management in project execution.
- Experience with industry-standard forms of subcontract and frameworks.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or equivalent).
- Strong coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively across departments and support multiple projects simultaneously.
