Machine Operator - Laminator 1st Shift presso Shawmut

Description

Under the direction of the lead operator, assists in the operation of the flame machine which includes set-up, loading, starting, adjusting and following proper operating and safety procedures to produce quality products. Responsible for full operation of the machine in the absence of the machine operator.

• Checks the machine for safety
• Reviews production orders to determine what materials are needed or if any special instructions should be followed to complete the order
• Reviews appropriate lamination set-up sheets, control plans and SOP's to determine how to set-up the lamination machine and how to process the products through the machine.
• Monitors the quality of the product being laminated
• Loads raw materials and unloads finished materials from the machine.
• Prepares production paperwork, inputs data to record allocation of materials.
• Maintaining a neat and orderly work area which includes cleaning of the machine.
• Other duties as assigned by Management

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and understand English is preferred.
• Possess basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance
• Some overhead lifting of approximately 20 lbs is required.
• Able to work well with others.
• Must be willing to work overtime when necessary.
• Previous experience in a factory environment or with moving machinery preferred.
• Follow all safety procedures, process and guidelines set forth by Shawmut.
• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug test, physical and background check.
