Springfield Public Schools seeks outstanding candidates for the position of Head Cross Country Coach at Springfield High School for the 2026/27 School Year.

Qualifications Required:

• Coaching experience;
• Cross Country knowledge and experience;
• Ability to work with high school students;
• Effective communication skills;
• Ability to work within school district guidelines and a budget;
• NFHS and First Aid certified;
• Availability for daily practices and meets;
• Ability and commitment to practice cultural competency and demonstrate respect for diversity.

Qualifications Desired:

• Cross Country coaching experience;
• Experience working with high school age students;
• Fundraising knowledge and/or capabilities;
• Understanding of OSAA rules and regulations;
• Good organizational skills;
• Ability to work with individuals and large groups;
• Ability to work with parents and booster clubs.
