to join our team. As a Mechanical Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inspecting components related to tubing, piping, fabrication, welding, custom assembly, and modification of valves and hoses. About The Job:
As a Mechanical Quality Inspector your main responsibilities will include:
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of fabricated components, tubing, piping, welding, and assemblies.
- Perform quality checks on materials and certifications, ensuring they meet specifications and industry standards.
- Receive, inspect, store, retrieve, organize kits, package and ship goods.
- Prepare, file, and send documentation and certifications.
- Prepare kits per customer requirements including organizing, labeling, packaging, and assembling certifications.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Document and report inspection results, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality processes.
- Flexibility and adaptability in performing other duties as assigned
Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Quality Inspector in a fabricating and welding environment preferred.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
- Knowledge of industry standards and specifications in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of component kitting, custom assembly, valve, and hose modification and fabrication.
- Familiarity with inspection tools and equipment.
- Ability to utilize computer systems including Epicor, Google Sheets, Nitro (PDF editor), and Microsoft Word.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to identify potential safety hazards.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Some manual lifting will be a part of daily duties.
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree preferred.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Previous experience in Quality in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Salary:
- $20 - $22/Hour depending on experience.
The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range.
