Purpose of Position: This position is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing systems and sub-assemblies used in imaging, sensing, and stabilization products.  This role works with schematics, work instructions, and engineering drawings to ensure high-quality builds in a high-precision environment.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

  • Assemble electro-mechanical components and sub-assemblies, including motors, sensors, harnesses, and printed circuit boards, for stabilized gimbal systems.
  • Route and secure cabling, harnesses, and connectors per wiring diagrams and standard work procedures.
  • Use precision tools such as torque drivers, calipers, micrometers, and crimpers to meet mechanical tolerances and electrical connection standards.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks and final assembly verification to ensure functionality and alignment.
  • Follow all ESD, FOD, and cleanroom procedures to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Accurately document build steps, deviations, and completed work in ERP or traveler systems (e.g., NetSuite, paper traveler).
  • Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and quality assurance to resolve build issues or process improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

  • Experience with documenting and detailing work.
  • Ability to work under magnification and maintain fine motor control.
  • Basic understanding of ESD control and clean manufacturing practices.

Physical Demands of Position:

  • Physically able to lift up to 20 pounds (materials/equipment)
  • Effective use of computer, laptop, cell phone and other mobile device to exchange information.
