The Opportunity
Provide consulting for life safety, building, and fire code complianceÂ
Contribute to the development of prescriptive and performance-based design strategies.
Assist senior engineers to help clients to incorporate fire and life safety strategy concepts into the design and review drawings for conformance with the agreed strategy Â
Assist with development of fire alarm, detection, and fire suppression systems design documents Â
Assist senior engineers on project site visits and communicate with architects, contractors and consulting teamsÂ
Participate in internal team meetings and external client meetings Â
Adapt to working with multiple teams, across multiple offices in a multi-discipline environment
Perform smoke control analysisÂ
Assist with fire modelingÂ
Assist with dynamic egress modeling Â
Assist with the development of structural fire calculations Â
Assist with the development of fire safety strategies for special hazards

Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Chemical or Civil EngineeringÂ

Excellent written and verbal communication skillsÂ

Los Angeles Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Los Angeles, CA is $74,500 to $81,500 per year. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Los Angeles, CA will differ.
San Francisco Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in San Francisco, CA is $77,500 to $84,500 per year. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of San Francisco, CA will differ.
