Job Summary

The HR Generalist is responsible for performing broad professional human resources tasks to support policies and programs including benefit programs, employee relations, recruiting and HRIS, responds to employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures.  Resolves employee concerns using employee relations skills and methodologies.

 

Essential Functions

Main duties

  • Implement HR initiatives and ensure adherence of company policies
  • Manage full-cycle non-exempt recruitment process, including supporting 
  • New Hire Orientation and HR onboarding and offboarding processes of team members
  • Provide benefits support with open enrollment, maintenance of programs, while responding to routine questions 
  • Support HRBP with employee relations concerns by interviewing and investigating issues, and providing recommendations for resolution
  • Produce HR staffing reports and administer attendance points, and time-card entries for payroll submissions
  • Administer leave and accommodation programs (FMLA, Parental, ADA, etc.) and ensure compliance and adherence are met
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Ensure all personnel files are uploaded and documentation is accurate for record keeping and retention purposes,
  • Support our Safety culture and assist EHS team with safety and sanitation regulations, including worker’s compensations submissions
  • Support mid and year end performance review cycles by coaching leaders on delivering feedback and consistency
  • Be an integral member of various project teams to change and improve processes
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with team members in all locations to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions
  • Support HRBP with implementation of recognition programs and act as the point of contact for all communications with team members and leaders, while creating and promoting a positive and supportive work environment
  • Support HRBP with change management and process improvement initiatives. Complete projects and other duties as requested by Senior Management, HRBP, and Production teams as needed

 

Required Skills/Abilities

Skills and Competencies

  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites; ADP Workforce Now knowledge preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Strong teamwork and project management skills combined with ability to work as part of a team
  • Must be able to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and organize workload to meet organizational timelines in a fast paced, very high-growth environment
  • Creative and innovative by always seeking effective and efficient ways of working
  • Curious in nature and always looking to question, learn, and look for better ways to do things
  • Understands critical HR components and legal compliance with the recruiting, hiring and separating process including state and federal requirements

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma required 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • Active SHRM or HRCI designation preferred 
  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience (manufacturing environment a plus)

Travel Requirements

  • Potential travel to and between the company’s manufacturing and sales locations may be required (0-5%).
