The Human Resources Business Partner will provide strategic consultation to our leaders and will partner with company leadership to drive a culture focused on growth, innovation and collaboration while championing that culture across the organization. HRBP will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This role supports workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, and talent development while ensuring alignment with company values and compliance with employment laws. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for creating a positive employee experience. Must have ability to work independently with little direction, as well as collaborate with other team members to accomplish short and long-term tasks in a time sensitive manner. The HRBP builds strong relationships with leaders and acts as a trusted advisor to drive engagement, retention, and operational excellence.
Position Essential Duties:
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Serve as a resource for employee concerns, conflict resolution, and performance coaching
- Support initiatives that foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture
- Assist in conflict resolution and performance coaching conversations
- Conduct stay interviews, exit interviews, and engagement pulse checks
- Create and administer the company’s recognition programs
Talent Development & Performance
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation as well as offboarding and exit interviews
- Support performance review cycles & goal setting process as well as off cycle development planning
- Identify training needs and coordinate learning opportunities for field and office staff
- Partner with safety and operations teams to reinforce leadership development
Benefits & Compensation
- Administer employee benefits programs and respond to inquiries
- Support annual open enrollment and benefits education
- Assist with compensation benchmarking and salary administration
- Administer the company leave programs
Compliance & Risk Mitigation
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
- Support investigations and documentation related to employee issues
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Support audits and reporting requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field
- 3- 6 years of HR experience preferred
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Skills:
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification
- Experience in a fast-paced or growth-oriented environment
- Familiarity with ESOPs or employee ownership models (if applicable)
Basic Requirements:
- Great interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with a diverse group of people
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to be well organized in fast paced environment
- Proven ability to multitask and manage time well
- Experience with MS Office Products, Applicant Tracking Systems, Job Boards, Social Media
- Proven skills in developing relationships, critical thinking, and meeting deadlines
- Ability to work well under pressure, be flexible, and adapt quickly to change and adversity
- Desire to be a continuous learner and eager to learn outside required duties
- Prior Recruiting or Human Resources experience preferred – prefer 2+ years
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Office 365 preferred
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus but not a requirement
- Must be able to comply with the Sexual Harassment policy.
- Must be able to pass a background, drug, and motor vehicle check.
- Must be committed to working safely while accomplishing all tasks.
