Respiratory Therapist (Per Diem) presso The Highlands at Brighton (affiliate of UR Medicine)

We are hiring a per diem Registered Respiratory Therapist to work along side an experienced and supportive team to provide post-acute care to the residents on our Ventilator Unit, one of only 3 in the county!

Schedule: As Needed
Shift: Day and Overnight; Must be available to work 3 weeks of night shifts throughout a 5 week schedule.
Pay Rate: $45/hr.
 

Responsibilities:

•Demonstrate competency, accuracy and understanding of ventilator management.

•Completely and correctly chart all pertinent information and settings.

•Understand and demonstrate proper manipulation of settings for the ventilator and oxygen.

•Troubleshoot ventilator and related problems.

•Respond quickly and appropriately to all ventilator alarms.

•Evaluate therapeutic respiratory plans and appropriateness of therapy.

•Registered (RRT) Respiratory Therapist in New York state required

•One year of RT experience preferred
