Description
Assist MLT/MLS in preparing routine medical laboratory tests for processing. Perform technical laboratory functions to include: Extraction of patient specimens for testing.
Ensure quality control in specimen handling and preparation, and maintain accurate record-keeping.
Comply with all laboratory policies and OSHA regulations related to safety, cleanliness, and infection
control.
Assist the Lab Supervisor and MLT with daily duties to include specimen prep, work area cleaning,
Restocking supplies as needed
Follow HIPAA regulations.
Follow Compliance rules and regulations against fraud and abuse.
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in MLS, MLT, Biology, Biochemistry, or Molecular Biology required.
- Medical laboratory experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Must be a self-starter and dependable.
- Able to prioritize workload while remaining flexible.
- Confident positive manner and appearance.
