• Ensures compliance of facilities for OSHA, EPA, State, County and local policies and procedures;
• Leads incident investigations and/or response teams for EHS incidents;
• Implements corrective actions found during investigations and/or audits;
• Manages preventable maintenance schedules;
• Completes action items as directed in Progress Rail Safety Compliance System (PRACSNET);
• Conducts Safety and Environmental audits and inspections;
• Performs routine Job Safety Analyses;
• Maintains and updates MSDS Materials/Manuals;
• Serves as Facility’s Emergency Coordinator;
• Monitors daily production to promote safe working conditions;
• Leads Facility’s Safety Committee;
• Maintains all records related to Safety function in a designated shop;
• Orders Personal Protective Equipment and maintains the distribution system;
• Other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
• Experience with State and Federal environmental regulations;
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with a wide variety of audiences;
• Experience with Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
• Valid driver’s license;
• Must be able to pass a background check which reviews any and all felonies and misdemeanors in the
past 7 years;
• Must be able to meet requirements of pre-employment, post-offer drug test and fitness for duty medical
review and exam;
• 5-7+ years of EHS experience;
• Experience in Locomotive Manufacturing/Re-manufacturing industry;
• Experience with SAFE START or similar safety program;
• Experience managing/handling compliance issues, permitting for all media, manufacturing operations,
