Job Summary:

The overall purpose of the Regional Director of Clinical Services - RN - RDCS - Houston position is to assess and monitor that the best possible care for our Residents is provided through regular on-site review of Clinical Systems. The Regional Director of Clinical Services effectively assists assigned facilities in maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• A current and valid state-specific license as a RN
• Minimum of 5 years as a manager in Long Term Care
• 2 years in multi-facility management preferred
• Highly developed management, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and schedule Center visits
• Ability to implement, evaluate effectiveness and revise Clinical Systems
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
• Ability to travel via private car and airlines

Essential Functions:

• Adopts and implements companies Clinical Policies and Procedures and Resident Care Management Systems
• Ensures Community maintain ongoing compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations
• Assists with recruitment, selection, and hiring of clinical personnel including but not limited to: Director of Nursing, Unit Managers and Case Managers
• Communicates with Regional Director of Operations to schedule Community visits, by prioritizing needs of assigned region
• Periodically assists in updating written policies and procedures that govern Resident care
• Ensures the safety of residents and staff by consulting with Community Administration on all health, fire, safety, and sanitation codes in accordance with DADS, CMS, and OSHA
• Acts as a member of the Corporate Quality Assurance Committee, the Corporate Clinical Committee, the Corporate Validation Survey Team and the Corporate Management Team
• Provides oversight/training of Directors of Nursing (new) within 5 business days using DON Orientation Checklist
• Promotes and participates in census development and marketing
• Collaborates with Regional and Senior Team members to assist/ensure that Community within assigned region meet or exceed budget
• Assists in other regions as assigned
• Performs other duties and/or tasks as assigned
