JOB SUMMARY
The Senior BI Developer position requires a dedication to producing high-quality output and proactive involvement in the successful delivery of BI systems; on time, on function and through coordination within the rest of the technology department and the business owners.  The Sr.BI Developer is responsible for designing and implementing database systems which will adequately support BI/reporting needs of the organization. Has thorough knowledge of data warehousing, BI tools, and ETL systems.

The candidate must have a good understanding of the business needs and the technical capabilities and be able to help align the BI solutions to meet the business growth objectives.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
•    Convert business requirements into actionable technical requirements for current and upcoming projects. 
•    Provide technical leadership within BI team in the design process for approved projects
•    Design and build reporting and analysis tools that help streamline the business and make reporting, analyzing, planning, and forecasting more efficient
•    Present and propose solutions, and alternatives, to requirements with an eye to scalability, flexibility, ease of maintenance and time to delivery 
•    Mentor and train developers in the current technology, policies, processes, and standards
•    Interpret business requirements into technical database solutions 
•    Propose potential logic solutions and propose data fixes
•    Work closely with project managers and directors as well as IT department clients (business representatives) from a business and process perspective
•    Work with other SMEs and technical support teams in the pursuit of technically excellent solutions
•    Resourcefulness and perseverance to find data from whatever sources are available, and adeptness in working in large datasets
•    Responsible for designing and implementing database systems in support of the enterprise data of the organization.
•    Strong leadership and technical skills and experience in designing and developing enterprise class data warehouse systems.
•    Formulate designs and/or design recommendations which meet various requirements; balancing the goals and constraints of existing solutions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
•    3+ years of Retail Energy Industry Experience REQUIRED
•    Proficient SQL
•    Demonstrated knowledge of BI solutions and best practices for database solutions
•    Proficient with Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS, SSRS) 
•    Work well under pressure with short timelines
•    Strong quantitative and analytical skills with accuracy and attention to detail
•    Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision, manage multiple priorities, and remain flexible in a dynamically changing environment
