Description

Spring Glen Fresh Foods in Ephrata, PA is now seeking 1st Shift Maintenance Mechanic.  We are offering great benefits, stable work shifts, and a clean/welcoming work environment.  Work where you matter!  Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for the following:

Responsible for performing general maintenance assignments, utilizing well developed mechanical skills under minimal supervision.

Responsible for following food safety, legal and quality policies including but not limited to: Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety, product quality, food security, etc.

1.    Adhere to LOTO and all common safety practices or rules including the wearing of protective equipment as required.
2.    Perform maintenance functions for repair, installation and preventative maintenance of all plant equipment and buildings as directed by Maintenance Supervisor.
3.    Ability to safely and properly use shop equipment, basic hand, and power tools to perform routine repairs.
4.    Responsible for having a familiarity of maintenance terminology including but not limited to machinery, tools, repair parts, lubrication, and simple fabrication methods.
5.    Must possess ability to perform basic cutting and welding work, as well as basic electrical theory knowledge including simple 3 phase wiring.
6.    Complete all documentation as required by Maintenance Supervisor.
7.    Report any equipment or building condition requiring maintenance to Maintenance Supervisor.
8.    Assist Maintenance Supervisor in ordering supplies, parts, etc.
9.    Ensure that all maintenance work is performed in compliance with all safety and GMPs.
10.    Demonstrate consistent improvement in maintenance knowledge and skills.
11.    Keep work areas clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
12.    Perform other duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.

While the duties above generally describe the job content, not all duties are performed continually or regularly (i.e., daily, weekly, etc.).  Duties performed are dependent upon the operation being supported.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•    Must have ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English. 

•    Ability to perform the following: welding, cutting, brazing, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, carpentry, electrical, refrigeration, boilers, masonry, manufacturing etc.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
A.S. in Mechanical Engineering
