Description

Why CLS Health?

At CLS Health, we are redefining healthcare delivery. As Houston’s largest physician-owned, physician-led healthcare system, our mission is to provide patient-centered care through innovation and operational excellence. With over 200 providers in 35 locations and 40+ specialties, we’re building a scalable healthcare system that empowers physicians and delivers unmatched quality and access for patients.

We are looking for:

The Corporate Development & M&A Associate will play a key role in driving CLS Health’s inorganic growth strategy. You’ll help source, evaluate, and execute acquisitions and strategic partnerships, working directly with the Sr. Business Development Manager, finance leadership, and executive team. This field-based role requires someone proactive, persuasive, and skilled at building relationships that lead to expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and visit independent physician practices across Houston and surrounding areas.
  • Pitch CLS Health’s value prop: improved contracts, operational support, and equity opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of practice acquisition targets.
  • Develop and implement outreach strategies — primarily through in-person visits, but also through calls, emails, conferences, and other creative approaches.
  • Schedule and prepare meetings between interested practices and CLS leadership.
  • Support the physician recruitment team when needed by sourcing candidates, pitching CLS Health’s model, and coordinating initial meetings.
  • Provide weekly reports on outreach, meetings, and pipeline activity.
  • Work closely with the M&A team on acquisition targets and due diligence.
  • Represent CLS Health at networking events and medical society meetings.
  • Contribute to growth projects and strategic initiatives that expand CLS Health’s physician network and market presence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in business development, healthcare sales, physician relations, or similar roles.
  • Proven track record of building new relationships and driving growth opportunities.
  • Confident communicator, able to pitch, present, and influence at all levels.
  • Highly organized and self-driven; comfortable managing multiple deals and priorities.
  • Willingness to travel locally (field-based with mileage reimbursement).
