About This Job
The TPO (Third-Party Originations) Processing Manager provides strategic leadership and oversight across all loan processing functions to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and high-quality customer service. This role is responsible for managing workflow efficiency, maintaining documentation standards, and driving continuous process improvement. The manager will monitor production goals, resolve escalated issues, and implement departmental policies and procedures. Additionally, the role includes coaching team members for peak performance and executing initiatives aligned with senior management directives.Responsibilities:
- Lead processing operations across multiple functions including process flow design, compliance with state and federal regulations, policy implementation, and pipeline management
- Oversee documentation standards to support credit approvals and audit readiness
- Track and analyze production metrics monthly and quarterly to align with the bank’s strategic business goals
- Develop and maintain procedural documentation, including manuals and checklists, to ensure consistency and compliance
- Resolve escalated customer and loan-level issues with professionalism and urgency
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency
- Coach and mentor staff, fostering a high-performance culture through ongoing feedback and support
- Execute strategic goals and initiatives and conduct timely performance evaluations
- Other duties as assigned to meet business and company needs
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of related mortgage lending experience
- 2+ years leadership experience
- Must have in-depth knowledge of RESPA and TRID guidelines
- Strong knowledge of mortgage lending to include mortgage products and an understanding of other types of financial products is desirable
- Excellent decision making, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Must be detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills, be adaptable to change, and have a data driven mentality
- Proven ability to interpret and communicate regulatory guidance
- Excellent customer service skills
- Superb oral and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and team building skills; must be able to effectively lead and develop employees
- Advanced computer skills including all MS Office systems
- Extensive lending compliance knowledge
- Must take initiative and be an innovative problem solver
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to perform multiple functions throughout the day as the need arises
